We have had an extremely exciting first week back. On Monday we discovered our egg had hatched! The baby stegosaurus made a mess of our classroom and left footprints that led out the door. We have been on a hunt for him but sadly we still cannot find him. On Wednesday we were visited by a baby T-Rex. It was definitely an afternoon that we won't forget!
In literacy this week we have been writing 'Missing' posters to try and find our baby dinosaur. We have alos written a diary for him, thinking about all the trouble he might have got up to around our school. The focus for this was spelling the days of the week correctly, something we will be continuing with next week.
In maths we have been finding the difference between 2 numbers by making towers of bricks and comparing them. Next week we will be looking at addition statements where we have to find the missing number. For example 8 + _ = 12.
Thursday 2nd March is World Book Day. For this the children are not dressing up. Instead we are asking the children to bring in their favourite book to share with the class.
Please keep sending in Sainsbury's vouchers!
Have a great weekend,
The Beech Team
