Today our eggs finally started to hatch! There are cracks and small holes in the shell - hopefully we will find out what is inside on Monday! We have had a lovely week thinking about what might be inside and having a go at writing descriptive words about our egg. We have been looking at repeating patterns and adding in maths using lots of practical resources.
On Wednesday we started our Explorer's Morning. This is where the children can flow between any of the reception classrooms completing a variety of activities. We will continue this every Wednesday morning.
Next week we will hopefully be able to talk about what is inside our egg and where it has come from. We will practise addition on our own, and we will explore the different percussion instruments and the sounds they make.
On Wednesday morning (25th) it will be Maple Class' turn to lead collective worship. Parents of Maple Class children are invited to stay after drop off to watch - it will finish at 9.40. This will be followed by Cherry class on the 1st and Oak class on the 8th February.
Hearing tests will be taking place on the 31st, 1st and 2nd in school.
Please can we ensure all uniform, PE kit and external clothing is clearly named - we are finding lots of unnamed belongings and finding it difficult to return to the owner.
A few children have been bringing in lip balm. If your child needs to use this, please ensure this is named and handed to an adult as we need to ensure it is not shared between children in school.
Have a lovely weekend!
