It's been a very exciting week, 3 chicks have hatched!
We have learnt lots about life cycles, looking closely at a chick and a butterfly. We have been learning lots of songs about Easter and spring chickens. We had a brilliant RE day. Thank you to those of you who came in and helped! We made beautiful Easter gardens, looked at light and dark, made butterflies and life cycle books and even held our first chick called Fluffy!
Next Week we will be making lots of things to do with Easter.
Thursday 30th March - just a reminder that we are going to Dunorlan Park for an explorers trip. Thank you in advance for all the parent helpers. Please can we also remind you that children can wear their own clothes (something to get messy in) and they need to bring in a coat and water bottle. We will be leaving at about 9.45am, parents please come in just before.
Friday 31st March - Last day of term. Children will be participating in an Easter Egg Hunt.
Tuesday 18th April - Easter Church service. This will be in the afternoon from 2.15pm at St James Church. We need some parent helpers to come and help walk the children down to the church. If you can, please write a note in the contact book and the Class Teacher will get back to you. Thank you.
Maple class still need a home for their guinea pigs. If anyone is able to take care of them over the Easter holidays please let us know.
Today your child has come home with their class report. Please can you fill out the comments sheet and return before the end of term.
Have a lovely weekend,
The Reception Team
