This week we have been finding out about different dinosaurs and describing them. We have continued adding and finding out different ways to make the same total. We have also started our group reading sessions - going forward each group will read with an adult over a week.
Next week we will be learning about positional language and finding our dinosaur hidden around the school. We will be making a giant class map! We will be playing some sentence building games to recognise how many words there are in sentences and making dinosaur bone pictures.
Tuesday 7th February is E-Safety day. We will be watching a puppet video and reading a story about how to stay safe online. We will be linking this to how to stay safe at home and around school. If you would like to find out more about Safer Internet Day please visit:
Oak class will be leading collective worship on Wednesday. Parents are invited to stay after drop off and watch. It will finish at 9.40.
If anyone has any bubbled wrap we will gladly take this off your hands!
We have noticed there are a few children with pierced ears who wear earrings to school. A reminder that these should be small studs only - no hoops. On days your child has P.E. please ensure your child comes to school with their earrings either removed or covered with tape for the day.
Friday 10th February - Infant school disco. It will be £3.00 on the door and starts at 4:30-5:15pm.
This is also our last day of term - we will return after half term on Monday 20th February.
Both Cherry and Maple guinea pigs now have holiday homes! Thank you for responding so quickly - we are very grateful!
Have a lovely weekend,
The Reception Team
