We have had an exciting week- starting with our time travelling day and ending with snow!
This week the children have been exploring time travel starting with an exciting assembly on Monday when they used their wrist bands and imaginations to travel back in time. During their adventure they discovered some eggs that had been laid on the school field. As there were nine, each class is looking after one to see what is inside...we think they might be dinosaurs so we have been finding out about different kinds of dinosaurs using non-fiction books and the internet. Next week we will be adding to a non-fiction book of our own that we are making about dinosaurs.
In Maths we have been practicing counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, and finding 10 more and 10 less than a number.
Thank you to those of you who have sent in named books about dinosaurs- if you have dinosaur stories or non-fiction books that your child would like to bring in to help us with our learning, they are very welcome to bring them in.
Our gorgeous Guinea pigs are in need of a home for the weekend- if you would like to have them to stay we would be very grateful for your help; please put a note in your child's contact book as soon as possible so we can set up a new rota.
Have a lovely weekend
