Dear Parents

It has been a busy week this week and very cold so please continue to send in warm clothes especially when we have our outdoor sessions as we do like to get outside whenever possible.

We have really enjoyed finding out more about dinosaurs this week and the children have enjoyed bringing in their toys and books to share with the class.

In Literacy we have continued to research dinosaurs for our information books that we are writing. We have also started to use the word "and" to join two simple sentences.

In Maths we have been writing addition sentences and adding by counting on from a larger number. In mental maths we have been working on quick recall of number bonds to 10 and 20. Next week we will be looking at money and recognising 1,2,5 and 10p coins and finding simple combinations of coins.

In Science we have started our topic which is animals including humans. We have been looking at feature of animals and grouping them into categories like birds, fish, mammals and reptiles. it is a topic that the children find fascinating!

Have a lovely weekend
