Dear Parents,

This week our class dinosaur went on holiday! He sent us letters telling us where he had been. Hopefully he will return next week! We have had lots of fun making up stories and acting them out. We have been learning subtraction, taking away from a group of 5 and 10. We have been learning how to throw and catch in PE and about the Easter Story in RE.

Next week we will continue to retell and write our dinosaur story. We will be learning to name and order the days of the week and subtract on a number line by counting backwards. We are starting to look at new life and life cycles. We have some chicken eggs that will be hatching soon!

Thursday 23rd March - The kitchen are holding the Mums Tea at 2.30 in the hall. Please return reply slips by Tuesday if you would like to attend.

Friday 24th March - RE day and Comic Relief - Children are allowed to come to school in own clothes. Please can these be clothes that the children can move and do arty activities in. One of our activities will involve smarties - if your child cannot have these please let us know.

Reports will also be coming home on Friday. There is a reply slip for you to complete with your child if you have any additional comments.

Please note, the contact note and other information is available through the school website - www.st-james-infant.kent.sch.uk

If you have any large pieces of cardboard at home we would gladly take these off your hands!

Have a lovely weekend,

The Reception Team
