Dear Parents

We hope you like our new website! There may still be some issues to iron out, so please bear with us!

We have had a very exciting week! On Monday we travelled back in time and made an interesting discovery. We found some enormous eggs on the field! We have been thinking about which animals lay eggs and what could have left ours! We are looking after one egg in each class until they hatch.

Unfortunately we haven't been able to go out and play in the snow today as the steps up to the playground and field were covered in ice therefore making it too dangerous :(

We have explored adding by combining two groups of objects and we will continue this next week. We have also started to explore repeating patterns when printing and decorating our own eggs.

As you may have seen in the newsletter, there is an ongoing problem with headlice in some classes. To help to erase this problem we are asking that all children have their hair checked regularly with the nit comb provided earlier in the year (usually easiest when hair is wet with conditioner). If you do find anything, hair must be treated before returning to school.

We are starting to find a number of bookbags are coming in with large keyrings. This is making it difficult to store as they are all placed into boxes at school. Please can we ask that any large keyrings are placed on PE bags or backpacks instead. Also, please do not place water bottles into bookbags. We have a found a few of our brand new reading books have come back into school damaged due to leaking bottles in bags.

If anyone has a large cardboard box they would be willing to donate to Maple class it would be gratefully accepted.

Have a lovely weekend
