This week we read the first few pages of the Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. We discussed what lighthouses are, look like and what they are for. We have drawn pictures of them and labelled the different parts of a lighthouse. We have started to make some lighthouses using junk modelling and will continue this next week. We have been recapping lots on addition and subtraction and answering problem solving questions.
Next week we will be reading the next few pages of the book and making jam sandwiches, talking about halving and sharing. We will also be talking about people who help us. Looking at people who can help at the beach and how to stay safe.
For those children doing Forest School this term it will be on Thursday 4th May nest week due to bank holiday. Children should wear forest school clothes all day.
Our trip to Bexhill is on Friday 5th May. Thank you to those of you who are helping on the trip, a letter will be given out next week to let you know about the day. Please can we remind you that each child needs to come into school with:
